By improving disposal procedures and strengthening multi-party collaboration, the Company has achieved highly efficient recycling of decommissioned materials, injecting new momentum into green and low-carbon development.
To address the retired materials generated during power grid operation and upgrade projects, the Company has established a “one-map, one-list” management mechanism. Relying on a grid-based layout, it created distribution maps showing the locations of recycling collection points and designated responsibility zones for each project. Standardized disposal checklists were developed, specifying classification standards, recycling procedures, and handover protocols for items such as transformers, cables, and circuit breakers. This ensures thorough coverage of the recycling process, with no omissions or blind spots.
To improve disposal efficiency, the Company has established a digital ledger for recycled materials, enabling full lifecycle traceability. Following a “centralized storage + regular auctions” model, materials are categorized and reported in a timely manner to facilitate resource recycling. Since 2025, the Company has generated approximately 1.2 million yuan through recycled materials, effectively preventing resource waste and material backlog, while ensuring prompt transportation and efficient processing.
Additionally, the Company organizes annual green grid-themed awareness campaigns across departments to promote knowledge of environmentally responsible disposal methods. These efforts enhance employee participation and foster a culture of collective support for green recycling.
Looking ahead, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company will continue to advance the digital transformation of retired material management and explore synergistic models combining “new energy + recycling.” The Company also plans to promote the compliant disposal of new types of materials such as retired energy storage batteries.
